I am Aadvantage Gold (OW Ruby). Last year I was boarding an Air Berlin flight. They called for Ruby. I didn't want to dig out my ID card, so I just said "I'm Aadvantage Gold or Ruby. Trust me." The guy said "Go on then".

Take your card along with you just in case you run into a real stickler for the rules.
