While I can't tell how much AF might reimburse you, I can tell you that you might have travel insurance even you don't know it. A lot of credit cards these days have insurances included when used to purchase the tickets. So you might get lucky there.
Otherwise I'd advise you to buy some reasonably priced stuff (there's a good
outlet center in Landquart on the way from Zurich to Parpan) and have AF to reimburse you the cost.
