Interesting that St. Petersburg also was involved as the destination for the world's first commercial airline service. However, it was the other St. Petersburg, the one across the bay from Tampa. The service commenced on January 1, 1914 aboard a Benoist XIV. Here's a LINK.

As you can see, inflight amenities were probably limited to a seatbelt and a pair of goggles!
