5. This one is tough! Not many airliners have large windows so closely spaced. I went over to Wikipedia and plugged in Airliners 1930s, looking at British, Russian and U.S. airliners. It’s hard to tell how long the cabin is, but we can see it’s small and yet large enough for a stewardess – barely! Let’s go with a Lockheed Model 9 Orion.
6. Well, the photo does give a pretty good hint: It’s a Handley Page H.P.45 Heracles of Imperial Airways!
7. Check out that weird angled window… It’s a good thing I have today off! A painstaking search of images at Wikipedia and Imperial Airways’ site yielded a good possibility: The Short L.17. Up near the front of the plane are windows of similar size and shape.
8. The three small circular windows - likely at the very rear of the aircraft - suggest a Short S.23 Empire Flying Boat.
