Fixed per-night pricing

I've generally been a fan of Hilton's pricing scheme where a stay has a fixed per-night rate, rather than (potentially) changing every night like it does for some other chains.

However several times in the past few weeks I've come across situations where the multi-night rate is more expensive than booking individual nights, which just seems wrong...

eg, Thursday night alone is 800 SAR. (Saudi Riyal). Friday through Monday nights, booked alone or together, are 600 SAR per night.

But booking Thursday though Tuesday bumps the rate for every night to 800. So in effect, the extra 1 night for Thursday is really costing 1600 SAR (800 for the night, plus an extra 4x 200 for the extra on the other 4 nights).

Or for a Hampton in Ohio next week, Tuesday night is $139. Wednesday night is $109. But book the two together and it's $129 - a $10 premium.

Of course, you can always book two separate reservations, but that just creates more pain for everyone, and half the time seems to cause problems with points posting correctly/etc.
