I do agree that if you enter on a TWOV and flight circumstances beyond your control put you over the limit, you are OK. But keep confirmations of flight changes/cancellations/rebooks/etc. and get to airport early so when Exit Immigration raises their eyebrows, you have time to discuss and they have time to confirm with airline.
