Hi all, I just applied for the CSP yesterday and had a few general questions about transferring points 1:1 to partner airlines. Can you normally transfer and use those points on any flight, or does the flight you want have to qualify in some way for you to be able to use points on it?

Is there a good resource for figuring out how frequent flyer miles generally work? For instance, we are planning to fly to Ireland from Charlotte, and it would probably be on Jetblue and then Air Lingus, and they are both partner airlines of British Airways, so would it make sense to transfer all my points to BA, then book travel on their website? There's a lot to learn as far as how ff miles work and how best to maximize their value, and useful links or resources would be helpful. thanks!
