Reward flights are not free. All have taxes. Some, depending on the ffp/airlines. can have cash surcharges. These can be low to very high and at worst not far from the retail price of the flight.
As you are travelling are work there may have a corporate travel/hotel/rental car policy
Thanks for the reply! I've read through the policy and it is actually quite flexible. We have the ability to buy the flights however we prefer and with whatever airline we prefer. The only thing I wouldn't have complete control over would be hotels because my Sr. Manager wants the team to stay in the same hotel, but I would be booking it myself.
I know that "free" isn't really free, but I am basically trying to get the cost of a flight as cheap as possible. Redeem points for flights. That sort of thing.
