Which leads to an obvious assumption that a significant judgment against United may lead to another United bankruptcy. Getting back to the point of this thread, how would another United bankruptcy impact us FF's? What happened of note to us in the last United bankruptcy?
The likelihood of a significant judgement is quite small, a view that appears to be supported by American and United's outside counsel and independent auditors (due to the lack of financial provisions).
Although I feel speculating about a judgement is pointless, I would point out that both airlines have suitable insurance policies and strong liquidity positions which makes discussing bankruptcy even more absurd.
