Thanks very much for the useful reply. But I know Makati, including the Intercontinental, and wonder why you recommend that neck of the woods. Aside from Greenbelt, is there anything special in Makati? In contrast, I'd think that the Marriott would be closer to Intramuros, the Corregidor ferry, places to catch sunset by the bay, etc.

Having said that, I'm not challenging your welcome reply and advice. I just want to better understand why the Makati recommendation.
