My wife and son applied fresh into NEXUS on Monday and were conditionally approved today (Wednesday).
My upgrade from Global Entry was also submitted on Monday and no action yet (I suspect it will take some time).

2 days is pretty impressive for 2 governments to review a person and get info back, even if they don't travel much.

Edit: I got my conditional approval today (Thursday). Very fast turnaround at the moment!
