First Class is supposed to be the pinnacle of air travel though I have been round long enough not to have this expectation on BA. You pay a huge premium for it.

I can eat at the fat duck, la gavrouche or any number of high end restaurant and pay a premium but I have never not got what I have requested from the menu.

It has happened but it's rare and if a place I ate in regularly failed as often as BA does to provide a first choice it would not be somewhere I returned to....... Bit like BA really. Am happy to use avios for the mediocre premium offer but not real money,....not any more!
