AA and several other carriers are piloting the use of "priority" by embedding that that in the coding of the tag. Thus, no separate priority tag. Reportedly, it has a better "success" rate in terms of actually getting your bag faster.

Needless to say, this only works at accountability stations, e.g., those places where everybody who touches a bag, scans it.
