My apologies if this was already asked/answered, but:

When I make CP through the Trial (scheduled to happen in mid-February), I get two international business class upgrade certificates.

What happens if I don't use these by the time the FFP's merge? Do they go away? Do they become AA SWU's? Do they remain good only on US-metal flights?

AND:

Do we have any specificity on a date for merging the FFP's - a.k.a., when do I get my 8 AA SWU's?
