I hate the self-tagging at T2 and refuse to use it. Just take the tags and the bags to the check-in agents behind the kiosks. I just ask them politely "Can you do this for me, please?" No one has said No yet.

Why do I hate it?

(1) Because I've got enough to do with watching my bags and carry-on, making sure that someone doesn't walk of with my BPs (as someone pointed out further up the thread), remembering to hang on to my passport, etc, without the hassle of trying to get the tags on correctly.

(2) If I mess up, my bags aren't going to make it. I'd much rather have someone who knows what they're doing tag my bags properly.

(3) If you put any value in priority tags, you can't get those when self-tagging.
