Yes you can check your bags in for your evening flight.

NB: Just remember to use the correct boarding pass (DUB) when going through security though. I have had customers in a similar situation who mistakenly used their later b/pass to go through security (after just using it at bag drop) and ended up missing conformance on their earlier flight... Not an ideal situation to be in.
