Be warned that most "free" credit reports are based on some other company pulling your credit report. They paid a flat or wholesale rate for large numbers of credit reports for use in their buisness. This could result in a credit inquiry added to your credit report which could lower your credit report (if you have 3 or more in the last 12 months).

The credit report you get directly from the 3 credit bureau's won't have that effect.
