Do you recall what the policy that they showed you said? Something about technical complications, or just that they don't recognize the US card as valid at this time?
I don't remember sorry, I even thought I should take a picture for flyertalk but thought that would go over like a lead balloon. It was pre holidays so its been a lot of beers later.
They did let me use the apec lane that trip but was told to use the regular line next time.
