If it's 747, it's marginally worse than other alternatives. But the main source of pain is a 12+ hour flight in economy.

Spring for E+. If it's on the 747, spring for E+ only if you can get an exit row seat (33, 44) because the difference isn't that big.

Bring your own reading material instead of relying on movies. Buy a couple drinks. Sleep.
