I'm taking a trip to BKK this fall and the cheapest route would have me fly from ORD to NRT in economy before continuing on to Thailand. I don't have any status with any airlines so no upgrades. How bad will the flight be with no in-flight entertainment?

I just read that wi-fi will be available on the flight so that should maybe make the time fly by faster? Thoughts?
