The CIBC Aero Platinum does not come with travel insurance. If you have bought your ticket with CIBC Aero Platinum, you will need to purchase travel insurance separately.
If you have paid at least 75% of the cost of your air ticket with your new CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite, you are protected by the travel insurance that comes with that card.
The CIBC Aero Platinum usually starts with 4502 whereas CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite and CIBC Aerogold Visa Infinite Privilege usually start with 4500. The card no. does not change if upgrading from CAVI to CAVIP.
