I have used these machines at ORD. Super quick and I was through and stood waiting for my luggage (which is unusual). The machine takes your picture, obtains finger prints and prints out a receipt which is reviewed by the immigration officer. A couple of quick questions and you are through to baggage claim. Such an improvement and hopefully will roll out throughout the States...
