If I have to be honest I got very scared when he came straight to me saying that sentence.

On the other side - this show was going on for too long and everyone in the terrace was looking at them but no one said anything. Not sure this is a cultural barrier but as an Italian if I feel not comfortable I become very direct and I tend to approach the reason for my discomfort in a quite direct and polite manner.
