The issue is that you've violated MCT. By booking a 43 minute "connection", you've booked something that AC has said is "impossible", and yet you want them to accommodate you.
Fly in earlier from YOW. Those flights are hourly, right? Or can you get a later flight to YVR?
OP already booked an earlier flight, but I remain convinced that the two tickets issue is still an issue
