MCT is intended to include time to transfer bags.
Well it sure seems like a new procedure. I've been through LAX twice recently and both times seen people dragging baggage from TBIT to T7. I picked a few people and asked them what's happened and their explanation mirrored mine.
The interline transfer desk at LAX refused to take their bags told them, "out the doors turn right go to terminal 7".
I guess we just have to plan accordingly now.
P.S. Its a great way to reduce checked luggage amounts to Australia
