I've gone the other way - BUF to YYZ, but only because BA flies out of YYZ and I had all those delicious Avios to use.

Domestically, I've driven to/from ROC (about 90 miles) because of the fare difference, but because I had to rent a car, etc., I'm not sure I really saved any money.
