Just stayed there last night for a short weekend getaway.

This property participates in Starwood's Luxury Privileges program which, when booked through a Luxury Privileges travel agent, comes with daily continental breakfast for 2, upgrade if available, complimentary basic internet, and $100 Food and Beverage credit once per stay.

The BAR for the least expensive room was $209; the Luxury Privileges rate for the same room was $161. We booked the Fabulous room at $187.

Service was friendly and courteous throughout except for in the restaurant, Trace. There it was friendly but virtually non-existent for both dinner and breakfast.

Interior soundproofing was great but the windows bleed through a lot of exterior noise, even up on the 24th floor.

Basic internet was terribly slow -- CNN or any webpage wouldn't load and would time out. A phone call to the Welcome Desk got me upgraded to Premium internet for no charge which was markedly better (but at $29.95 a day, ouch!).

Trace, the restaurant was a huge surprise. Especially when they mention it had a sushi bar. A Japanese chef was behind the counter and I was quite pleasantly surprised at the quality of his sushi. Precise and generous cuts of fish on perfectly cooked and seasoned rice; lovely cuts of sashimi; very well done. His octopus was more tender than at Shiro, perhaps one of Seattle's best Japanese restaurants. Happy Hour pricing was great for most items.

In all, a great stay and I would most certainly return.
