Definitely not worth it when you likely will get 3 seats in Y given how light the loads are on this flight most of the year. The only times this flight is full are during the SIN/HKG holidays and when there are school holidays in the respective countries.

While the HKG United Club is better it still pales in comparison to what the Silver Kris lounges offers in both SIN and HKG. While smaller in size I would say the KrisFlyer lounge in SIN is about equal to what UA offers at the United Club in HKG. One should also take note that the hot food doesn't start coming out in the SKL or the KF lounge in SIN until about 5AM which is a bit tight given the UA departures to HKG.
