So my wife and I joined the AMEX gold family 2014. Before this we never had amex card together. Years ago I had a Delta AMEX card that they closed for non-use (I can't recall time frame). Anyway, I get my updated card with chip and it says member since 2007.

I am sure this is a non-issue but do you think it will help us in regards to retention? Like many of you we are reconsidering keeping the gold now that the spend bonus is gone but my previous calls to amex say they can't offer anything b/c we haven't been a member for a year.

Long shot but I thought I would ask the forum.
