how do you deal with jetlag?
As a veteran of 12- and 13-hour jet lag between Asia and the US, my best strategy is intensive caffeination during the day, and then an over-the-counter sleeping pill (Benadryl does quite nicely) before bed. The coffee in the afternoon keeps you awake when the circadian rhythm starts kicking in, while the sleeping pill means that when you inevitably wake up in the middle of the night you're groggy enough to get back to sleep for a couple hours. That in turn keeps your fatigue under control, making it easier to stay awake when the circadian rhythm again kicks in the next afternoon. Rinse and repeat...
