Email them and let them know that you are gold member and you are celebrating a birthday and let them know any request. The service there is exceptional and they will try their best to accommodate all your requests.
Request to be upgraded to riverview room. However, if you are there during Chinese NY, they might be full, but send in you request anyway.
We were there in first week Jan 2015 for my husband's birthday. I booked two rooms on cash+points, both rooms got upgraded to riverview connecting rooms for the entire 5 nights, full breakfast for all five of us in the restaurant every day! They even deliver a small cake to the room on the birthday!
