I booked a flight from YVR to VLC on Lufthansa and was hoping to upgrade the YVR to FRA leg using Aeroplan points. I booked Economy Basic Plus II which has a fare condition of "Mileage upgrade permitted" but Aeroplan's upgrade website says that the fare class is not permitted to upgrade. Is there any way I might be able to upgrade? I don't do Miles & More, so hopfully there's a way to use my Aeroplan points.
