But interestingly on the BA 268 to LAX there was a chord/rope at bottom of stairs which Flight Attendants were stepping over,up/down stairs ,so no consistency if it is a BA ruling...
Of course with QF there is the small lounge upstairs, that can be used by F pax and of course the J pax, so F pax cannot be denied going up the stairs to sit and relax in the lounge area, which I have done on many occasions, watching the TV and having a drink.^ Will be coming back on BA12 from SIN - LHR in March, so will be interested when going upstairs to use the bigger loo if I get any comments from CC not to go upstairs, will still go up anyway
