I tweeted Air France for my JFK-CDG in December. No issues with getting a window seat assigned on the new configuration 777 (1-2-1).

Even if one is not available, the AF twitter team will make a note of it; and assign before departure. I've been pleasantly surprised multiple times with the AF twitter team being proactive with my seat requests.
