I do believe people expect too much. Does it really matter if the check in lady doesn't smile - I'd rather she got my bag properly labelled than spend time being cheery.

F has never been called first for priority boarding - nothing new there.

As for the crew being friendly and chatty to everyone - except you and your wife. Sorry, just don't buy that at all. Sometimes you get crew who for one reason or another are having a bad day - but they don't as far as I know only have a bad day with people in their 20s and have a good day with everyone else.
