What is the point of flying GF with an almost 2 yo lap child? Would be way more comfortable in BF with an extra seat for the child. And don't even think about an extra GF seat on UA. Those will go to upgraders or NRSAs.
My wife flew back and forth to ICN in GF a few years back (usually D fares upgrade with then SWUs) and once our son was over 1, the discomfort from having a bigger kid on her lap seriously outweighed the benefit of the larger (F vs. C) seat. From the point forward it was either 2 seats in UA business or F award with lapchild on OZ (where we never experienced a full F cabin so always could count on an extra seat to turn into baby bed)
