I called this morning and got a very nice, and very optimistic, agent. She quickly said "Oh yes, they've requested the LAX-HKG flight at 1:05am and we've moved you to the DFW-LAX flight. It's not a matter of IF they are going to do this, it's a matter of when."

Not sure how she can say that so confidently given it's Cathay's decision, but I like her attitude!
