Not sure how DFW-HKG helps if you are trying to avoid an overnight in HKG and instead want an overnight flight for a 10am connection.
Once CX calls back just outline the fact that you don't accept their forced overnight unless they pay the hotel. At that point since there is only 1 DPS a day you might find them willing to open up LA or JFK inventory (more likely with the greater number of flights versus SFO).
You can also route through YVR or YYZ, both of which have late departures that would allow you to catch an evening flight from DFW. I don't believe the YYZ flight has F, but YVR does indeed.
