Just how old does a Hertz car have to be before they retire it?
Rented a vehicle from MIA yesterday.
We decided to return it and exchange before even leaving the garage.
We had rented a Chevrolet Impala (full-size) - fair enough - it was what we had booked.
The car had done 42,000 miles. No remote or central locking - just an ignition key. The car stank of cigarette smoke. The kicker though was the headrest on the passenger side - leaning forward at an angle of 45 degrees and could not be adjusted - no way we were going to drive like that for 2 weeks.
The car was a Utah registration so maybe they gave it to us because we were returning out of Florida. Trying to dump it at some other location?
My question - how old does a rental car have to be before Hertz retire it? This one was Jurassic.
