The OP was pretty lukewarm in complaining. For all you know if they complained the first time it may have been fixed by the time they returned.

Fair points, but I still think a rebate of less than 10% for something so frustrating is insulting. 40,000 sounds better. Hell, my last stay at an ES where I complained about a ripped couch, peeling wallpaper, a non-working desk lamp and mold in the shower netted me a free stay.
