I had no hot water with an HGI Summer, 2013 and they offered $25 off. My brother and his wife just stayed at a Hampton Inn with no cold water and the hotel comped them the room based on the satisfaction guarantee. For me at least, 20,000 points back (a 50% rebate) times 7 nights would be fair, but 20,000 points total is insulting.
