...probably more than you would think, especially in very informal settings where they just "need something to throw on" (on the way to the gym, hanging out with friends, doing yard work, whatever), but there's no way to be 100% sure.

Anyway, this topic is completely YMMV. If you're uncomfortable using your status tier luggage tag, then by all means don't use it. But I don't think that it's arrogant or inappropriate to use it if you want, assuming you're not using the tag as an excuse to cut lines you shouldn't be cutting, shoving them in people's faces announcing "DM coming through!!!" like someone upthread observed. At the end of the day, I don't think a whole lot of people are paying that much attention anyway.
