We had a brief stay here before flying from Lisbon Airport and were happy with our choice. We booked 11 months ago and were glad we did. Prices seem to flail about wildly. I booked a 96 euro rate. By the time we stayed, rates were running 500 euros or so for no discernible reason. This is the dead week after the holidays and no one was there. I looked ahead a couple weeks. Rates were back in the mid 100s. Crazy.
The hotel is in a beautiful wooded area near Sintra, west of Lisbon. We pulled up in front. The bellman was immediately there. By the time we walked the few steps inside, two staff were standing there greeting us by name. One had our file, the other warm cloths and two small cups of tea. Check in formalities were done in our room, already set up with 3 small pastries and bottles of water. As a platinum, I will get a 1000 point amenity. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the pools and a bit of the golf course meandering up a heavily wooded hill. It was a very serene view. There is no club in the hotel.
