As for the numbers in the lounge, you'd be surprised how many people book club rooms simply because their work policy allows them to. It's not just Platinum members who will be in there.
Well, I take every hotel breakfast over food in an airport lounge or plane, but that might just me. I think you have a valid point there ...
I am aware of these kind of policies. What I wanted to say and this is not really clear from what I have written, that even then lounge seems okay, as I do not think, that even if you book club while you can, you arrive earlier only with the intention to stay (life) in the lounge taking into account that this is an airpot hotel. But I might be wrong in so far as well ...
