Not really. The BTS<>VIE service has terrible timing and is only daily service. It is basically repositioning the E190 from VIE to BTS to operate the BRU route. As a frequent traveler to BTS, it doesn't help me much.
It is quite true that it won't save much time, but I still believe that it will be very useful for people in this part of the world - mainly because it will make flights cheaper...(example: VIE-DFW-VIE 640 eur, BTS-DFW-VIE 403 eur). Also hopefully 20 more Tier Points.
