Unhappy Please Help, Delayed baggage came back empty and damaged

I flew with Air Canada this holiday and it has been a mess going and coming.

First, at check in, I was told I am Star Alliance Silver not Gold and had to pay to check in, even though I clearly showed them my card and info. I paid and proceeded to expedited lane. I was stopped and publicly told to leave by TSA because my boarding pass had no status (Now i have gone from Gold to Silver to no status in 2 minutes). A Director from united saw this and got mad, she took my info, scolded Air Canada and walked me all the way through security apologizing. I filed a complaint with Air Canada (16 days later, no response).

On my return flight, same thing happened. But this time, I refused to budge saying they should call someone in charge. They backed down and let me check in my luggage for free and the whole shebang.

I landed and one of my luggage is missing, I checked in two luggages. I filed a claim and today I got the second luggage. The problem is that the luggage is completely empty, someone opened it and took out everything. I mean everything, my clothes, my toiletry and documents. Just empty, and to top it off, they ripped the bag This is a thick hide leather bag.

I was at work when they delivered it, and i told them to drop it off at the hotel. The hotel made sure it was noted on the delivery slip that it was empty and ripped, and then called me to let me know before the driver went off. The told me I had to call the airline.

What do I do next? I have tried calling for over 3 hours and opened a chat window hoping to get a representative, no dice, I tried everyday since i filed the missing luggage to track it, (3 days so far) no dice. Should I get an attorney involved? Do i have a case? I am really not happy, I work as a consultant and I travel with united every week, this is the second time i have flown with Air Canada and this is the worst travel experience ever!
