Well thanks to everyone and your great advice on here I am able to make all seven members of the group happy! Though they are getting free plane tickets to Hawaii so why should they complain?

One couple is flying to BNA - KOA a couple days early and going to stay there (this is me and my wife if you care)
One couple is flying BNA - HNL just a day early

the third couple is warned that there is a possibility of problems, but they are ok with this. They are flying southwest to LAX then LAX - HNL

I have to accrue a few more points to buy their 3rd ticket with aanytime miles but I will easily do that before May.
