No hot water in shower
I stayed 7 nights at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia CA on points, 238,000 total. First morning, Sunday 12-28 we got up at 3am and showered so we could leave before Sunrise, we both took cold showers. We figured maybe they turn the hot water down overnight, and with the hotel booked it was a fluke. We left for three days, kept this room, and stayed at other Hiltons on our trip up the PCH to Monterey and back. We got back New years eve, got up again at 3am to get down to the parade, cold shower again (luke warm at best), we asked at the front desk when we left at 4:45 am, they said "no one else has said anything". We figured maybe a LOT of people getting up and showering to go to the parade??? The next morning we took showers to go down to breakfast for 6:30, cold again. When we went down to the front desk before we ate, the clerk looked at us like he had never heard of such a thing, and said no one else has complained (same story as the morning before). We finished eating, went back to the room and tried the other sink in the LR area and it had plenty of hot water, but the shower was cold. I went back down at 7am and there was a different person at the desk, she said she would send engineering up as soon as they got in between 7:30 and 8. I said I needed to know if we needed to change rooms before we left if they could not fix it. We waited till 9, still no engineering. I went back downstairs and was told they did not want to disturb us so they were waiting for us to leave! At this point we needed to get to the Float viewing, so we left and they said they would call us and let us know what the outcome was. No phone call all day, got back to the room at 7pm, note on vanity, hot water fixed, 12 o'clock. OK, I turned on the shower, no hot water!!! I went down stairs, they said they would have engineering come up right away to see what was going on. He showed up at 8:20pm, and found the limiting valve needed to be adjusted behind the knob, 10 minutes later, hot water in the shower!! He said he would talk to the front desk about why it was not fixed the first time, so we figured OK we will see. We checked out at 4am Saturday morning, the front desk clerk was the same one that could not believe I did not have any hot water, so I did not say anything and just left. I called Tuesday morning after I did not see anything on my Honors account, and had not heard anything from anyone. I spoke to the girl that said she was the manager, she offered me a 20,000 point credit (I used 40,000 a night! I said that seemed kind of weak, she said that was the best she could do, but she would have her manager call me. Over a day has gone by, no call, but they did post the -238,000 points to my account.
So here's the question, what should I expect as a credit?
