No meal service on economy flights. You will have water, soda, juice, coffee offered free of charge. Alcoholic drinks will cost at least 6-7 USD, no cash allowed, only credit card. They do offer snack, sandwiches and or salad for sale, anywhere between 5-10 USD, no cash, only credit card.

The problem with the food for sale is that sometimes they do not carry enough to go around, and depending on where you are sitting, you might not get any at all, or do not like their offering. I suggest it is best to buy your own preferred meal/snack on the concourse and bring on board, in particular for the MIA-LAX leg, that's a long one.
