Actually, I'm not sorry if that offends people.
If the the "science" of profiling worked as well as the racist profiling advocates claim, then one is left to ask why Israel flopped in using it to stop all terrorist and other militant attacks from areas controlled by Israel, areas where the Israeli security forces conducted repeated cordon and search operations and had way more time to profile and spy on the population of people in those areas. Not so ironically perhaps, the rise in passenger profiling in Israel hasn't been followed by a net decline in violent attacks upon Israeli persons or properties by non-state actor terrorists -- rather the number of incidents has skyrocketed.

Profiling passengers at airports is voodoo "science", no less so when Canada or the US aren't Israel.

Profiling passengers is such a "science" that El Al had Richard Reid -- the failed shoe bomber nut -- as a passenger more than once on its planes. And El Al is supposedly the gold standard when it comes to passenger profiling. [Under interrogation, he admitted that he chose El Al to see what he could get away with with El Al and use against his preferred target: Americans.] El Al's defense of repeatedly clearing him for travel on LY? "We had an armed guard seated near him" .... on one of his (more than one) LY flights.
